We moms often feel overlooked and undervalued. Endless hours of caring for our families and wee ones can put us in the position of exhausted apathy when it comes to our own needs. These feelings are magnified for missionary moms living in marginalized places. I will never forget the night I cried out to the Lord for something, ANYTHING, to help me keep focused and diligent in my personal devotions and reflective study.
That very night I stumbled across the Women’s Bible Cafe website and joined my first Online Bible study. I have participated in almost every study offered since that night. Although at times I have felt like a pork chop at a bat mitzvah, I have never once regretted each and every moment in reflective, devotional study of God’s Word with my girlfriends alongside me at the Women’s Bible Cafe. Over these last four years I have discovered some excellent resources that I use during every one of these studies and small group sessions. These resources help to keep my studies and memory verses organized.
I use the Evernote apps for taking and organizing all my notes. I can use the Post-it Notes feature, take audible notes as well as pictures and save them in specialized Notebooks that are easily accessible on or off line. The best part is that I have my one Evernote account on my phone, Ipad, NOOK and Computer. I can access all my notes, anytime I need to throughout the day. When I think of something I want to add to my notes, I can make a quick voice recording and add it later on during my study time. I love Evernote!
