All too often the shame of hurtful experiences will keep us from seeking out the comfort and healing that the Lord abundantly provides through the sacrifice of the cross.  God Loves Broken People: And Those Who Pretend They Are Not by author and speaker Sheila Walsh is a beautiful reminder of God’s tender care in the midst of our brokenness.

Sheila has always shared from the depth of her own painful life experiences.  She encourages the reader to embrace their experiences with the raw emotions that accompany them and willingly hand it over to the Father of all compassion and empathy.

This book swept through the cobwebbed corners of my wounded and weary soul.  I was completely shattered as I read “What if our deepest wounds are the very places through which God’s mercy flows to others?” In the midst of our tragedy, isn’t it the comfort of those who have walked through similar experiences what we reach for?

41sBjXQwMGLThe dedication reads, “In Memory of Ruth Bell Graham who taught me to look for the beauty that God makes in brokenness.” There can be beauty in our times of brokenness and there is hope for healing with every wound.

God Loves Broken People is an inspirational reminder of the hope that the Lord longs to give in the midst of turmoil.  I give it a hearty 5 inspirational stars on Amazon.com
